THE GEMS MANUAL
by David Poole

GEMS Plus 8s have turned out to be the most issue-ridden of the Classic Plus 8 line. There were many compromises to the original Land Rover programming that were necessary for the Morgan and the sophistication of the system created anomalies that were beyond the capabilities of many old school owners. As well. because of the extraordinary popularity of the line, Morgan kept selling them long after the engine and the GEMS technology had been replaced by Land Rover. That being said, through the efforts of David Poole and Mark Adams and others, the model can be transformed into a very reliable friend and there is much that can be learned about all autos in that process.
